A calendar is created every year, but next year's theme is "Okinawa's creatures".
As a native dog of Okinawa, Ryukyu dog Sora-chan also appeared on the calendar.

It is a valuable dog that is also designated as a natural monument in Okinawa Prefecture.
In the Jomon period, dogs were already living together with people, but in Yayoi period, northern dogs flowed in with immigrants, and Japanese dogs were mixed with blood.
In the unsecured Hokkaido and the South-West Islands, the Jomon period lineage is maintained, and it is thought that Ryukyu dogs may retain their lineage.
The characteristics of the old type of dog, such as the tail on the standing ear and the shallow step between the nose and the forehead are inherited, and the hair color is "Akatura (red tiger)" "Kurturra (black tiger)" "Akain (red dog)" and "Silturra (white tiger)".
