Approximately 800 species of reef corals have been identified from tropical seas around the world, and of the approximately 400 species of corals in Japan, about 380 species of coral reefs in the Ryukyu Islands live there. Now, in the sea of Okinawa, the death of corals, which are thought to be caused by starfish and global warming, is occurring. If this is the case, the wonderful sea of Okinawa may disappear.
