The “Habu Snake Memorial Festival” scheduled for August 2 at Habu Museum Park Okinawa World will be cancelled this year because Typhoon No. 6 is expected to approach.

Around 8 (c) and 2 (b), "Habu Snake Day" is an anniversary unique to Okinawa.
In 2017, it was officially recognized as "Habu Snake Day" by the Japan Anniversary Association.
It is clearly listed as an anniversary in the Okinawa limited notebook.
Habu Snake inhabits Okinawa Prefecture and is feared as a poisonous snake.
But it is indispensable in Okinawa World!

It opened in 1979 with the aim of making people aware of Habu Snake and contributing to the reduction of damage to Habu Snake.
For more than 40 years, we have exhibited materials and living organisms related to Habu Snake.

As you can see, August 2 is a special day in Okinawa World, where we usually benefit from Habu Snake, as “Habu Snake Day”.
On this day, we also hold the “Habu Snake Memorial Festival” to give thanks to Habu Snake.

・The Habu Snake memorial service has been held since the construction of "Tenja Kannon" in Habu Museum Park in 1982.
