In Okinawa, events were originally held in the lunar calendar. Today, 1/22 is old calendar 1/1 and Chinese New Year. At present, both New Year's Day and old calendar are holding New Year's events.
In accordance with Lunar New Year, the decorations of the "Old Uezato Family" in the castle town have become New Year's specifications.
There are many New Year's events besides 1/1.
I'll explain it roughly.
1/2 Hachifukushi (first wake-up) :The first day of work
1/2-13 Tussiby (annual day) Celebration :Celebration of the year of birth between families and relatives
1/7 Nankanusk (Seventh Day): Making juicy (porridge) and offering it to Buddhist altars and the god of fire
1/16 Juulkuniti (16th): It is also said to be the New Year's Day. A family visits the grave and worships the new Buddha
1/20 Hachikasouguchi (New Year on the 20th): The last day of the New Year. Clear the New Year's decorations.
Currently it is simplified and there are differences depending on the region, but it looks like this!
You can go up and relax at the former Uezato family, so please drop in when you visit the park.
I hope the new year will be a good year for you.
