In Okinawa, the event was originally held in the lunar calendar. Today, 1/22 is old calendar 1/1, Lunar New Year. At present, both the new calendar and the old calendar have New Year's events.
Along with the Lunar New Year, the decoration of the "Old Uezato Family" in the castle town has become a New Year specification.

There are many New Year's events other than 1/1.
I'll explain it roughly.
1/2 Hunchucky (first wake-up) :The first day of work
1/2 to 13 Tussibe (year-day) celebration :Birth year celebration between families and relatives
1/7 Nangkanusk (seven days of service): Make juicy (porridge) and serve it to Buddhist altars and the god of fire
1/16 Juulkunici (16th): It is also called the New Year of Later Life. The family visits the grave and worships the new Buddha.
1/20 Hachikasoguchi (New Year's Day): The last day of the New Year. The New Year's decorations are cleared.
Now it is simplified and there are differences depending on the region, but it is like this!
You can go up to the old Uezato family freely and relax, so please drop in when you visit the park.
I hope the new year will be a good year for you all.
