【Tofu making experience image】

After experiencing the process of making tofu,
Freshly boiled tofu made with cinmenabi
You can have juicy rice balls in old folk house.

Since ancient times, tofu has been indispensable for home cooking and event dishes in Okinawa, such as Yushi tofu, Champloo, etc.
It is eaten in various forms such as fried tofu.
The Hantagawa area of Naha City is rich in spring water and has been popular since ancient times.
It is known as "Tofu no Sato". There used to be more than 50 tofu shops in Hantagawa.
It has now been reduced to three houses.
Lecturer Kenmasa Oshiro was instructed by Shigeru Nagado, the third-generation store manager of Chodo Tofu Store, a long-established tofu store.
We are actively engaged in traditional tofu making experiences at comprehensive learning at elementary schools and events in the prefecture.
In the past, tofu was made in each household, but now that lifestyle has changed,
The stone mill used for making tofu has become a valuable thing that is hard to see.
By actually using old tools, you can experience the old life and learn the wisdom of your predecessors.
Please join us at this opportunity.
