After experiencing the process of making tofu, you can enjoy it.
Fresh yushi tofu and stewed using symmenabi
You can have juicy rice balls in old folk house.
For a long time, tofu has been indispensable in Okinawa's home and event dishes, and Yushi tofu and Champloo.
It is eaten in various forms such as fried tofu.
The Hantagawa area in Naha City is rich in spring water and tofu making has been popular since ancient times.
It is known as "Tofu no Sato". There used to be more than 50 tofu shops in Hantagawa.
At present, it has decreased to 3 houses.
Lecturer Kenmasa Oshiro was instructed by Shigeru Nagado, the third-generation manager of the long-established tofu store, Chodo Tofu Store.
We are actively engaged in traditional tofu making experiences at comprehensive learning at elementary schools and events in the prefecture.
In the past, tofu was made in each household, but now that lifestyle has changed, it has changed.
Stone mills used to make tofu have become valuable things that are hard to see.
By actually using old tools, you can experience old life and learn the wisdom of your predecessors.
Please join us at this opportunity.
