"Mishami" appears not only in the New Year, but also in various events such as the Kiyomei Festival and Bon Festival. It is unique to Okinawa to offer a lot of fruits such as pineapples.

Sanshin also has a culture of decorating tokonoma, and it is said that Japan decorating swords, China decorating brushes, and Okinawa decorating Sanshin.
