High Thailand~!
Today, March 4th is "Sanshin Day" by word matching.
"Sanshin" is said to be a symbol of Okinawan culture,
It is a traditional Okinawan instrument that is played in various places even today.
It's also familiar with pops such as "Islander's treasure".
In "Kingdom History Museum" in Okinawa World Ryukyu Kingdom Castle Town
I'm going to show you three lines.

(from left) Kankara Sanshin, Shamisen, Sanshin, Sangen
The Sangen of China became Sanshin in Okinawa, and the Sanshin crossed the mainland.
It is said that it became a shamisen.
If you compare it, Sangen and Sanshin are still similar.
Kankara Sanshin is a Sanshin made of materials such as empty cans in an era when there is no object after the war.
You can feel the love of the people of Okinawa for Sanshin.
We will also answer a few questions that are frequently asked by customers.
Question 1: What is the difference between Sanshin and Shamisen?
→The biggest difference is the material.
Snake skin is used for the trunk of the sanshin, and dog and cat skin is used for the shamisen.
There is also a difference in the playing method.
The shamisen plays with bees,
The Sanshin plays with a "claw" made of buffalo horns attached to the fingertips.
Recently, I also use a pick.
Question 2 "Is the Sanshin using Habu Snake skin?"
→It looks like the skin of Habu Snake, but not.
Habu Snake is small, so it is not possible to take the skin to stretch on three lines.
For this reason, the skin of a snake called "Indian snake" was imported and stretched on three lines.
Recently, a lot of synthetic skins have been sold.

On the bulletin board outside the museum, there is also a panel display on Sanshin.
When you come, please take a look.
