Hi Thailand~
Today, March 4th is "Sanshin Day" by word matching.
Sanshin is a traditional Okinawan instrument, and is a stringed instrument that plays with three lines like the shamisen.
Because of the snake skin, it is sometimes called "Jamisen" distinguished from the shamisen.
At the Kingdom History Museum in Ryukyu Kingdom Castle Town, Okinawa World
You can compare Sanshin with the Chinese "Sangen", which is said to have been the source of it.
It is said that the Sangen was transmitted to Kingdom of ryukyu around the 14th century to become a Sanshin, and the Sanshin was transmitted from Ryukyu to Osaka and Sakai around the 16th century to become a shamisen. The musical instrument that makes you feel that our culture is connected is Sanshin!
In Okinawa, there is a custom of decorating Sanshin, which has been handed down from generation to generation, between floors as heirlooms.
tokonoma decorations are often compared with "the brush in China, the sword in Japan, and the Sanshin in Okinawa."
By the way, it is a three-line with a characteristic snake skin, but it is said that the important part is the "pole".
For this reason, some houses inherit only the Sanshin rods and keep them in a safe place.
Although omitted here, Sanshin is roughly classified into seven types according to the shape of the rod.
There is also a panel display on Sanshin on the bulletin board outside the museum.
Please remember these things about Sanshin.
In the castle town, if you're lucky, you may be able to see the guide playing the sanshin.♪
