Next year, you can dye the pattern of the Dragon, the Chinese zodiac sign of 2024, to your own original color.
"Ryu" is the only fantasy animal in Earthly Branches and is a symbol of power and prosperity.
It is said to be a year that is greatly related to success and power.
Even in Kingdom of ryukyu, the dragon was regarded as a symbol of the king and was favored for handicrafts such as lacquerware and kimono patterns.

② "Doton Weave" Tea Matt Weaving Experience (Place: Weaving Studio)

Period: From December 23, 2023 (Sat) to January 8, 2024 (Mon)

You can weave tea mats from the traditional Okinawan textile "Don Weaving".
Lawton weaving is said to have been introduced from China in the middle of the 17th century, and is characterized by a three-dimensional weaving with a part of the warp (Tateto) and floating on the steps.
Lawton woven kimonos were used exclusively for the upper class during the Ryukyu kingdom period, and were mainly used for men.


In the castle town, various flowers such as "Obenigougan" and hibiscus are also in full bloom.
You can enjoy the nature and culture of Okinawa with your five senses.
