[Ryukyu Toy Yakaji] What is it?
"Yakaji" (Okinawa people) also know few "Yakaji"
It is a decoration of "Yakaji" amulet attached to the pillar of the house, praying for healthy growth and evil remedy for Yuknuhi (the etymology of the 4th day). It is similar to the mainland demon arrow, and weapons such as swords and bows are inserted into a mount depicting a dragon paired with males and females.
In Bingata Studio, we sell Bingata Dyeing dyed tapestries with yagaji pattern and handmade Japanese paper yakaji pattern postcards at the paper making workshop. Recommended for birth celebrations and families with boys.
