What is awamori
Awamori is a traditional distilled liquor made in Okinawa for a long time. Rice (mainly Thai rice) is used as a raw material and alcohol content is slightly higher. It is characterized by a fragrant and deep taste.
It has a history of about 600 years and is said to be the oldest distilled liquor in Japan.

About Uehara Sake Brewery
Uehara Sake Brewery was founded in 1947 and is the oldest brewery in Itoman City. We joined the Nanto Group in 2021 and continue to build awamori.
