Based on the geographical characteristics of Okinawa Prefecture, where many fossils of Paleolithic period, including the Minatogawa people, have been discovered, continuous excavation of the site of Sakitari Cave in Nanjo City with the aim of further discovery, led by the Okinawa Prefectural Museum of Art. This year, the survey will be conducted from November 18 (Mon) to December 1 (Sun), Reiwa 6.
At the same time, an excavation tour will be held for the general public!
At the tour, researchers will explain the latest survey results in an easy-to-understand manner in front of the excavation site and the excavated relics!
